It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our mother
Anita Bourgeois at the age of 95 years, on December 27,
2025. Born in Saint-Paul-de-Kent, she was the daughter of
the late Edmond and Lina (Dionne) Cormier. She lived her
married life in Dieppe, and moved to the Oasis Residence in
2019.
She worked at Marven’s Biscuits and in the kitchen
of École Amirault. Anita loved to travel, shop,
socialize, and her trips with friends to the Casino.
Anita is survived by her sons: Roger (Angela), Louis
(Nicole), Daniel (Lucille), all from Dieppe, and her daughter Diane
Ritchie, from Rothesay; her siblings: Oscar (Lorette) of Dieppe and
Phyllis (Leandre) Maillet of Massachusetts; her grandchildren:
Natalie, Julie, Julien, Sophie, Matthew, and Kalynn; as well as her
great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Armand (2005); her
siblings: Dorice (Eric), Émilie (Leonard), Yvonne (Clovis),
Sr. Florence ndsc, Sr. Jeannine ndsc, Sr. Stella ndsc, Yvon (Dorice),
Adelard (Eloudie), and Henri (Clara).
The family would like to say a special thank you to the staff
at Oasis, for all their compassion and wonderful care of our
mother. We would also like to thank the staff, nurses and
doctors at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC, as they kept our mother
comfortable in her last days.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and
Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (506-858-1900) where the
funeral service will be celebrated on Thursday January 8 at 4 pm.
Visiting hours are Thursday from 2 pm until time of funeral. Interment
will be in Saint-Anselme parish cemetery. In memory of Anita, a
donation to CHU Dumont Foundation would be appreciated.
