It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, Edith LeBlanc (Landry), on December 29, 2025, at the age of 90. Born in Dupuis Corner, NB, she was the daughter of the late Honoré and Lina (Arsenault) Landry.

Edith was also predeceased by her husband, Alphée, as well as her brothers and sisters: Alcide, Gelas, Alonzo, Stella, Léa, Yvonne, Léontine, Sylvie, and Rebecca.

Edith will be deeply missed by her children, Denise (Glenda) and Jacques (Donna); her grandsons: Christian (Melyssa) and Samuel; her great-grandson Luca; her sister Rina Lirette (Léandre); her brother-in-law Jean LeBlanc; her sister-in-law Elizabeth Greek; and by many nieces and nephews.

A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Edith was a woman of great empathy whose kindness and attentive listening touched everyone who crossed her path. A career educator, she dedicated her life to teaching, passing on not only knowledge, but also respect, curiosity, and self-confidence to generations of students.

Her commitment to others extended far beyond the classroom. She had the rare gift of making people feel understood, supported, and valued. Her gentle manner, wisdom, and generosity will remain forever in the hearts of her family, colleagues, and former students, all of whom will remember her as a deeply caring and devoted woman.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the management and staff of Ti Bons Soins Residence for the care, compassion, and dignity they provided to her over the past three years.  The family also offers thanks to the nurses from the Extra-Mural Program as well as Dr. Tanya Harquail for their excellent care.

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac (532-3297), on Thursday January 1st only, from 7 to 9 pm.  The funeral mass will be celebrated at St-Joseph R.C. Church, 415 Main Street, Shediac, on Friday January 2, at 11 am. Interment will be in the Frenette Funeral Centre Columbarium, Shediac.

In her memory, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society or to a charity of your choice.

Edith will remain forever in our hearts and in the lives she touched.
