It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, Loretta Cormier, aged 86, of Shediac, who passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at Villa Providence in Shediac. She was born in Shediac to the late Olivier and Bella (Hébert) Boudreau.
Prior to her retirement, Loretta worked at Westmorland Fisheries. Loretta was a very good cook; however, her greatest pleasure was time spent with her family especially her grandchildren whom she adored.
She leaves to mourn her children: Jean-Guy Cormier (Léa) of Shediac, Lucille Doiron (Maurice) of Grand-Barachois, Marcel Cormier (Rachelle) of Grande-Digue and Bernice Cormier England of Bas-Cap-Pelé; her grandchildren : Mélanie (Manuel), Daniel (Vicky), Nicole, Chantal (Nicolas), Jessika (Rémi), Manon (Jonathan), Jessy (Samantha), Ava, Joey (Danie) and Jaimee; her great grandchildren : Éli, Katherine, Adèle, Carissa, Chloé, Théo, Félix, Miguel, Jayden, Matthew, Colton, Tessa, Joannie, Hailey, Bradley, Mason and Kalum; her sister Lucille Bourque of Shediac; her sister in laws and brother in laws : Angie Boudreau and Edna Boudreau both of Shediac, Léonel and Catherine Cormier of Cap-Pelé; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Other than her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Alderice Cormier (2008); her daughters: Dorice and Annette; her brothers: Gerald, Roger, Raymond, René, Clarence and Olivier and her sister Dorice.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the personnel of The Castel des Flots Bleus and Villa Providence for the exceptional care Loretta received during her stay.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac (506-532-3297), Monday, December 29, 2025 from 1 pm to 2:45 pm. The funeral service will be held in the chapel of Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, Shediac on Monday, December 29, 2025 at 3 pm.
In memory of Loretta, a donation to the Activities department of the Villa Providence Shediac would be greatly appreciated.
