Renette Lavoie

1954 - 2025

It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Renette A. Lavoie, at the age of 71 years and 10 months, on Tuesday, December 16, 2025 at Villa Providence in Shediac. Born in Edmundston, she was the daughter of the late Guy Lavoie and the late Lily (Lajoie) Lavoie.

She is survived by her two sisters: Lola Courchesne (David) of Fredericton and Elaine Sormany (Claude) of Shediac as well as several nieces and nephews.

Other than her parents, she was predeceased by her brother Paul.

Renette was very involved with the Girl Guides of Canada and also at the international level. In her spare time, she loved to travel and swim. She was a passionate golfer and a great fan of the Canadien de Montréal.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the Residence O Bons Soins and the Villa Providence for the exceptional care and attention towards Renette.

A Celebration of Life will be held at on Monday April 6, 2026 at 11 a.m. at the Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre chapel, 396 Main Street Shediac. She will be laid to rest alongside her parents in the Notre-Dame des Sept Douleurs cemetery in the summer of 2026.

In memory of Renette, a donation to the Alzheimer Society of New Brunswick or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
