It is with profound sadness that the family of Peter Raymond Leger (54) of Riverview, share he passed away on Tuesday December 9, 2025 at his residence. Born in Moncton, he was the son of Raymond "Ray" and Doris (Melanson) Leger.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Erin (Frontain); his pride and joy, daughter, Marissa (Kyler); his sister, Catherine Leger (Jean-Guy); his niece and nephew: Stephanie and Christopher; his best friend who was like a brother to him, Mark Malenfant; his aunts: Sandra Hicks (Jimmy), Patsy Murray (late Joshua), and Doris Poirier (Donald); his beloved dog, Tuppence; as well as many cousins and friends.

He was predeceased by many aunts and uncles.

Peter was a loyal Costco employee for 31 years.

Peter’s favorite thing, other than his family, was hockey. His Philadelphia Flyers may not have won the cup in his adult life, but he never gave up hope. He shared this love of hockey with his niece and nephew, playing in the garage together.

Peter’s faith was a big part of who he was, taking part in Mass frequently. The Church was truly a sanctuary for him.

Peter was known as a genuine, loving person who took care of everyone else before himself. He shared his big heart with everyone he met. The loss of "Sweet Pete" leaves a hole in all our hearts.

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (506-858-1900) on Monday from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm only. The funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Bernard’s Roman Catholic Church, 43 Botsford Street, Moncton on Tuesday December 16 at 11 am. Interment will be at Our Lady of Calvary cemetery in Dieppe. In memory of Peter, a contribution to Marissa’s Education Fund or to Chalice Canada would be appreciated.
