Albert "Brownie" Hébert, 93, of
Irishtown, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at the
Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC. Born in Nor’ouest, NB, he was the
son of the late Pierre and Emma (Babineau) Hébert of
Parkton, NB.
Brownie was a charming and charismatic family man with a
contagious sense of humour. He loved company, and his warmth and
generosity left lasting impressions everywhere he went. Always ready
with a joke, he brought joy to countless gatherings. He spent nearly
50 years with Lanes/Bens bakeries, and was a proud 3rd-degree member
of the Knights of Columbus - Council 6468 Louis Hébert as
well as a member of the Lions Club.
He will be greatly missed by his daughter, Phyllis LeBlanc of
Grande-Digue; his son, Mike Hébert of Bouctouche; his three
grandchildren: Crystal (Dana) Pellerin of Irishtown, Marc (Carole)
LeBlanc of Indian Mountain, and Nathalie Hébert (Jim) of
Irishtown; his six great-grandchildren: Alexander, Olivia, Zachary,
Annie, Sophie, and Patrick; his sister, Stella Hébert of
Grande-Digue; his special friend, Bernadette DesRoches, and her
children: Bernadine, Nicole, Andréa, Roberta, and Jacques;
as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family, and
friends.
He was predeceased by his wife, Germaine (Gallant)
Hébert (1999); four sisters: Lina, Aline, Sarah, and
Valida; and six brothers: Theodore, Mélas, Alfred
"Fred," infant Albé, Albé, and
Stanislas "Stan."
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and
Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (506-858-1900), on Sunday
from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. only. The funeral mass will be
celebrated at Notre-Dame-de-Grâce R.C. Church, 854 Mountain
Road, Moncton, on Monday, December 15, at 11 a.m. Interment will be in
Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe.
