Surrounded by her family, at the Albert House – Hospice SENB, on Thursday, December 4, 2025, Annette Melanson passed away peacefully at the age of 75. Born in Dorchester Crossing (Scoudouc), she was the daughter of the late Odilon and Sara (Belliveau) Belliveau.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Émile; her two children: Marc (Sandra) of Shediac Cape and Sylvie of Moncton; her three sisters: Marie-Paule Richard (late Rhéal), Roberte Gauvin (late Fred), and Monique Richard-Léger (Phillipe), all of Shediac; her two grandchildren: Émilie and Philippe of Dieppe; her four sisters-in-law: Jeannette Belliveau of Bouctouche, Agnès Belliveau of Dieppe, Dorine Belliveau of Shediac, and Cécile Belliveau of Shediac; her brother-in-law, Hector Petitpas of Sainte-Catherine, QC; her Melanson brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by one sister, Claudette Petitpas, and her four brothers: Bernard, Claude, Donat, and Thomas.

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac (506-532-3297), on Monday, December 8, 2025, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., and on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, from 1:45 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. The funeral will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at 3 p.m. at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac (506-532-3297). Interment will be at the Frenette Columbarium, Shediac.

The family of Annette Melanson who passed away on Thursday, December 4, 2025, would like to sincerely thank everyone who attended the visitation and funeral. A special thank you is extended to Father Arthur Bourgeois who officiated the funeral service and to Msgr. Valérie Vienneau and Father Robert Savoie for your presence. To soloist, Nadine Hébert, musicians, Brigitte Lavoie and Marie-Andrée Gaudet we thank you for the wonderful hymns and music. We would like to thank the staff of Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre units 4F, 4E and 3F for the wonderful care she received. To staff at the Maison Albert, we will be forever grateful for what you did when she was in your care. Your presence, prayers, kind words, and expressions of sympathy brought us great comfort during this difficult time. We are deeply grateful for your love and support.

Merci à la soliste, Nadine Hébert, ainsi qu’aux musiciennes Brigitte Lavoie et Marie-Andrée Gaudet pour les magnifiques chants et la musique. Nous désirons également remercier le personnel du Centre hospitalier universitaire Dr-Georges-L.-Dumont, des unités 4F, 4E et 3F, pour les excellents soins prodigués. Au personnel de la Maison Albert, nous vous serons éternellement reconnaissants pour tout ce que vous avez fait lorsqu’elle était sous vos soins. Votre présence, vos prières, vos paroles réconfortantes et vos marques de sympathie nous ont apporté un grand réconfort en cette période difficile. Nous vous sommes profondément reconnaissants de votre amour et de votre soutien.
