Sister Lucille Bourgeois, ndsc, passed away following a well-lived life on Tuesday December 2, 2025 at the Motherhouse of the Religieuses de Notre-Dame-du-Sacré-Coeur in Moncton. She was 95 years of age and in the 65th year of her religious life. Born in Belliveau-Village, she was the daughter of the late Hector and Marie (Léger) Bourgeois.

Besides her religious family, she is survived by two sisters: Antoinette Boudreau (Donald) and Délina Gaudet (adoptive sister) (Eddie), both of Memramcook; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by four sisters: Bernadette, Eugénie, Hélène, and Bertha; and two brothers: Arthur and Louis.

Sister Lucille will be resting at the Notre-Dame-d’Acadie Pavilion of the Religieuses Notre-Dame-du-Sacré-Coeur Motherhouse, 125 King Street, Moncton (Godfrey Lane entrance) on Sunday December 7 from 2 pm to 8:30 pm, with Solemn Vespers at 7 pm.  Visitations will start again on Monday December 8 from 9 am until the funeral mass.  The funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday December 8 in the Motherhouse chapel at 10 am.  The funeral mass will be streamed live and may be viewed on her obituary at www.frenettefuneralhome.com where condolences may also be sent.  Interment will be in Memramcook.  Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, Moncton (506-858-1900).
