Nicole McGraw, 83, of Dieppe, passed away peacefully on
Saturday, November 29, 2025 surrounded by her children at the Dr.
Georges-L.-Dumont UHC. Born in Saint-Isidore, she was the daughter of
the late Wilfred "Will" and Christine (Haché)
Rioux.
Prior to her retirement, Nicole worked as a caregiver at the
Résidence Notre-Dame-du-Sacré-Cœur.
While raising her family, she was also a businesswoman and a member of
several local committees. Her family meant everything to her, and she
always welcomed others to her family with open arms. Nicole thrived to
help others, and knew her way around the kitchen better than anyone.
She always had something to serve her visitors and good coffee
brewing.
We will miss her precious advice, her culinary talents, her
sense of humor, and her ability to laugh at herself. She always had a
comeback ready — despite having absolutely no sense of
direction! Her expressions will remain forever in our memories:
"Clear things out to make space," "I don’t
have any like that," "You can’t move the Eiffel
Tower," and "Oh, come on, Nicole!!!" Nicole was
passionate about learning new things, watching documentaries, and
exploring history. She also loved shopping at Winners/Homesense for
"twenty minutes" that easily turned into three hours. She
leaves an immense void in our hearts.
She is survived by four children: Marc (Chantal Robichaud) of
Miramichi, Nathalie McGraw (Stéphane Sonier) and France
McGraw (Steven Kennedy) both of Moncton, and Thierry McGraw (Chantal)
of Dieppe; four grandchildren: David, Gabriel, Jonathan and Audrey;
four great-grandchildren: Alex, Max, Arthur, and Mélodie;
six brothers and sisters: Euclide (Georgine) of Blanchard Settlement,
Marielle Vigneux (Réjean) and Yolande Rioux (late Jean
St-Cyr), both of Montréal, QC, René (late
Annette) (Lorraine Doucet) of Bathurst, Aurélien (Liette
Mallet) of Hacheyville, and Benoit (Diane) of Dieppe; as well as
several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband,
Jean-Eude « John » (1995); one
sister, Adrienne; one brother, Guy; and her two precious dogs:
Cappucine and Maggie, who are waiting for her in the next
life
In accordance to Nicole’s wishes, there will be no
visiting hours and no funeral service. Interment will be in
Saint-Isidore cemetery. In memory of Nicole, a contribution to PAW
(People for Animal Wellbeing) would be appreciated. Funeral
arrangements are in the professional care of Frenette Funeral and
Cremation Centre, Moncton (506-858-1900).
