It is with great sadness that the family of Larry McKnight, of Moncton, announce his passing at The Moncton Hospital on Friday, November 7, 2025 at the age of 76. Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late Angus and Theresa (Arsenault) McKnight.

Larry will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 49 years, Charline (Melanson); children: Jennifer and Robert; and his grandson, Max; as well as a multitude of beloved friends and family members.

Besides his parents, Larry was predeceased by one son, Christopher.

An incredibly intelligent man, Larry worked for IBM until his retirement in 1999 after 30 years. His passion for technology led him to be able to fix, build, or repair nearly anything. He was a proud member of the Moncton Area Amateur Radio Club (MAARC) under the call sign VE9ASB. Larry greatly enjoyed fishing, metal detecting, and golfing, and was always happy to tell about the time he got a hole in one. He was also an avid photographer and was past president of the Focus Camera Club in Moncton back in the 1970's. He will also be remembered for his silly sense of humor, now that he's "off and around the corner".

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (506-858-1900) from where a celebration of life will take place Friday November 21 at 2 pm. Visiting hours are Friday November 21 from 1 pm until time of celebration of life. Interment will be at Our Lady of Calvary cemetery in Dieppe. In memory of Larry, a contribution to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
