It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Margaret Boudreau, surrounded by her family on Friday, June 27, 2025. Margaret was born in Moncton in 1929 to William and Laura (Gould) LeBlanc.

She lived her life as a devoted and loving wife and mother. She was very proud of every achievement her family ever accomplished, big or small. We were all her favorite.

Nanny, as everyone called her, leaves behind her daughters, Darlene (Ross McKay), Angela (Roger Bourgeois) and Claudette (Greg Turner), as well as 7 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-granddaughters, daughters-in-law, JoAnn and Diane.

She was predeceased by her parents, husband Laurie (1980), sons Larry & Garry, grand-daughter Josée, grandson David, siblings Raymond, Evelyn, Jean, Geraldine "Babe".

Mom was a remarkable woman who lived through difficult eras and always with a pleasant and helpful attitude. She was especially generous with her adult children whenever she came ahead financially and wanted us to have some "pocket money" to make our lives a little easier.

We, along with her many friends still living, will miss her so much. She was the best mom and nanny we could have hoped for.

We would like to send a special thank you to Dr. Sean Gormley and Dr. Brian Davidson, for taking such good care of her, making it possible for her to live such a long and happy life. Thank you to the staff of the Moncton Hospital, particularly those working 6600 and 3600 units. You were angels to her.

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (506-858-1900) where the funeral service will be celebrated on Thursday July 3 at 11 am. Visiting hours are Wednesday July 2 from 7 to 9 pm and Thursday July 3 from 10am until time of funeral. Interment will take place Our Lady of Calvary cemetery in Dieppe.

In memory of Margaret, a contribution to The Friends of the Moncton Hospital or to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
