Jeannine Cormier, 90, of Moncton, passed away on Thursday
June 19, 2025 at the Pavillon Cormier of Faubourg du Mascaret. Born in
Saint-Antoine-de-Kent, she was the daughter of the late Hypolite and
Marie (Cormier) Léger.
Prior to her retirement, Jeannine was the secretary at
Notre-Dame-de-Grâce parish office.
She is survived by two children: Jocelyne (Brian Douglas) of
Charlottetown, P.E.I., and Charles (Lyne Roussell) of Orford,
Qué.; four grandchildren: Nicole (Tareq), Justin
(Caroline), Élise (Gabriel) and Florence (Zacharie); two
great-grandchildren: Renaud and Eugénie; one brother,
Noé Léger (Corinne) of Sudbury, Ont.; as well as
several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband,
Paul-Émile (2016); four sisters: Alice, Madeleine, Rita and
Anita; and three brothers: Gérard, Dominique and
Léopold.
The funeral service will be celebrated at Frenette Funeral
and Cremation Centre, 88 Church, Moncton (506-858-1900) on Saturday
June 28 at 11 am. There will be no visiting hours. Interment will be
at Our Lady of Calvary cemetery in Dieppe. In memory of Jeannine, in
lieu of flowers, a contribution to the Canadian Cancer Society would
be appreciated.
