Marie Babineau, 84, of Moncton, passed away on Tuesday June 17, 2025 at Moncton Residence. Born in Saint-Charles, she was the daughter of the late Henri and Joanne "Anna" (Robichaud) Robichaud.

Prior to her retirement, Marie worked at the Dr-Georges-L.-Dumont Hospital for 36 years. She was a woman of great faith and a member of the Notre-Dame-de-la-Paix Golden Age Club. She enjoyed sewing and doing puzzles, as well as spending time at the cottage. She especially cherished time spent with her family.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Hervé; two daughters: Brigitte Babineau (Tim Ward) of Moncton and Suzanne Lane (Mark) of Winnipeg, MB; one granddaughter, Chloé Ward; four brothers: Louis (Maria) and Charles (Thérèse), both of Saint-Charles, Eugène (Andréa) of Richibucto, and Jean-Emile (Aline) of Richibucto-Village; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by five sisters: Marguerite-Anne, Catherine, Aurore, and infants Jeanne and Brigitte; and one brother, Rémi.

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (506-858-1900) where the funeral service will be celebrated on Tuesday June 24 at 3 pm. Visiting hours are Monday from 6 to 8 pm and Tuesday from 1 pm until time of funeral. Interment will take place at Notre-Dame parish cemetery. In memory of Marie, a contribution to the CHU Dumont Foundation (oncology) would be appreciated.
