Sister Doris Dupuis (Sr Marie-Ida), ndsc, passed away following a lengthy illness on Tuesday June 10, 2025 at the Motherhouse of the Religieuses de Notre-Dame-du-Sacré-Coeur in Moncton. She was 92 years of age and in the 73rd year of her religious life. Born in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late Blair and Edna (Dupuis) Dupuis.
Besides her religious family, she is survived by one sister, Phyllis of British Columbia; one brother, Blair (Thérèse) of Sainte-Marie-de-Kent; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by four sisters: Géraldine, Sr. Blanche, ndsc, Lorraine, and infant Diana.
Sister Doris will be resting at the Notre-Dame-d’Acadie Pavilion of the Maison-mère des Religieuses Notre-Dame-du-Sacré-Coeur, 125 King Street, Moncton (Godfrey Lane entrance) on Sunday June 15 from 2 pm to 8:30 pm, with Solemn Vespers at 7 pm. Visitations will start again on Monday June 16 from 9 am until the funeral mass. The funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday June 16 in the Maison-mère chapel at 10 am. The funeral mass will be streamed live and may be viewed on her obituary at www.frenettefuneralhome.com where condolences may also be sent. Interment will be in Memramcook.
