It is with heavy hearts that
we announce the passing of Hélène Fontaine, 84,
on Friday June 06, 2025, at the Villa Providence, Shediac. Born in
Shediac River, Hélène was the daughter of the
late Désiré and the late Rita (Bourque)
Boucher.
Hélène
retired from Radio Canada after 24 years of service, she enjoyed
fishing, hunting, camping and snow mobile trips. Most of all she
enjoyed the time spent with her family and watching the grand children
grow up.
She will be sadly missed by
her children; Michel (Beth) Fontaine of Moncton and Gisèle
(Fernand) Caissie of Cap-de-Cocagne. She will be fondly remembered by
her five grandchildren: Patrick (Emma), Denys, Natasha (Gabriel),
Marius (Karine) and Maxime (Rebecca) and her two great grandchildren:
Cédric and Léah. She also leaves to mourn her
sisters; Jeannine Vienneau (late Denis) of Shediac, Dorine Cormier
(Edgar) of Saint-Paul, Simone Arsenault (Donald) of Saint-Antoine,
Francine Boucher (Tom) of Shediac River, Denise Boucher-Maury (Serge)
of Saint-Édouard-de-Kent and Nicole Léger
(Adrien) of Shediac River; and her brothers: Léonard
(Linda) of North Port, FL, Bernard of Shediac River and Charles
(Jeannette) of Shediac River; also by several nieces and
nephews.
Hélène
was predeceased by her husband Hervé Fontaine (2011); her
sisters; Claudette Dallaire (Laurie),
Marie-Thérèse Pelletier (Ronald) and her brother
Danny Boucher (Jeannine).
The family will receive
condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 396 Main Street,
Shediac, on Friday, June 13, 2025, from 1 pm to 4 pm. The
chapel service will be held at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre
on Friday June 13, 2025, at 4pm.
In memory of
Hélène, a contribution to the Canadian Cancer
Society would be appreciated.
Cremation
