It is with deep sorrow that we announce the sudden
passing of our treasured Aquila of Shediac NB, on May 31, 2025.
Aquila’s kind and loving heart shined through with every
warm smile and friendly greeting he offered to everyone he
knew.
He leaves behind many people who were fortunate to
have been loved by him; his cherished wife of 51 years, Gail; his
daughters: Stephanie (Shane), Christine (Jonathan), and Veronica
(Bryan); grandchildren: Lauren, Isla, Bennett, Leighton, Huxley
& Wyatt; his sisters: Linda (Norman), and Huberte (Michel), as
well as numerous relatives, and close life long
friends.
He was predeceased by his brothers: Léonce
(Muriel), and Jean-Bernard (Jeanette); and his parents:
Auréa and
Amand.
He retired as a devoted public servant after over 30
years of service. He also owned and operated Salisbury Pharmacy with
his wife for 15 years.
Aquila, an adored husband, father, and grandfather
most enjoyed summers spent at the cottage with family gathered
together. Boating, frequent biking adventures with his grandchildren,
and lobster dinners in the screened in porch were always a highlight.
It brought him immense joy to spend his winters in Fort Myers Beach
fishing and socializing with dear friends. He will be remembered for
his genuine enjoyment of others, and the undivided attention that he
gave to those in his
company.
At Aquila’s request there will be no
visitation or service. A private family celebration of life will be
scheduled at a later date.
Memorial donations can be made in Aquila’s
name to a charity of your
choice.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to
the staff at the Moncton Hospital Trauma Unit for their care and
compassion.
The world was a better place with Aquila in it and
his absence will be deeply felt
forever.
