Sylvia Lanteigne, 69, of Notre-Dame, passed away on Wednesday June 4, 2025 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC. Born in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late Alexandre and Edna (Léger) Gagnon.

She is survived by one son, Christopher (Rokaya) of Cocagne; two granddaughters: Isabella and Arianna; four sisters: Jeannita Bouchard (André) of Gatineau, QC, Lorraine LeBouthillier (late Ovila) of Dieppe, Muriel Breau and Georgette Lirette (Charles), both of Saint-Philippe; two brothers: Normand (Germaine) of Leominster, MA, and Jean-Paul (Lucille) of Saint-Antoine; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her common-law husband, Roger LeBlanc (2022); Christopher’s father, Laurie Lanteigne (2008); one infant son, Mathieu (1984); two sisters: Léona and Lillian; and two brothers: René and Gérard "Gerry".

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (506-858-1900) on Monday June 9 from 2 to 4 pm only. There will be no funeral service. Interment will be at St. Lawrence O’Toole cemetery in Irishtown. In memory of Sylvia, a contribution to the Dance Creation Studios Fund would be appreciated.
