At the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre, on Thursday May 22, 2025, Michel Breau of Irishtown, passed away at the age of 68. Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late Clarence and Viola (Melanson) Breau.

Michel enjoyed the simple things in life. He loved a little chip and a good Pepsi. He also loved watching sports on television especially baseball.

He is survived by two sisters: Denise Melanson (Donald) of Dieppe and Yvonne Vautour (Richard) of Grand-Barachois; six brothers: Georges (Dorine) of Miramichi, Robert, Edmond, Francis (Lidia Wojcik), Roland all of Moncton, and Marc (Barb Underhill) of Scoudouc; as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by two infant sisters: both named Janice.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff of Haven Stream Care Home for their love and care for Michel during his stay.

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (506-858-1900) from where the funeral will be celebrated on Tuesday May 27 at 11 am. Visiting hours are Tuesday from 9 am until time of funeral. Interment will be at Our Lady of Calvary cemetery in Dieppe. In memory of Michel, a donation to the IWK Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
