Sister Aulida Cormier (Sr Marie-Julie), ndsc, passed away after a life well lived on Wednesday May 21, 2025 at the Motherhouse of the Religieuses de Notre-Dame-du-Sacré-Coeur in Moncton. She was 99 years of age and in the 75th year of her religious life. Born in Rumford, Maine, she was the daughter of the late François ‘Frank’ and Julie (Cormier) Cormier.

Besides her religious family, she is survived by several nieces and nephews. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by three sisters: Rita Madore, Irène Cormier-Doiron and Viola Cormier-Goguen; and one brother, Ivan.

Sister Aulida will be resting at the Notre-Dame-d’Acadie Pavilion of the Maison-mère des Religieuses Notre-Dame-du-Sacré-Coeur, 125 King Street, Moncton (Godfrey Lane entrance) on Sunday May 25 from 2 pm to 8:30 pm, with Solemn Vespers at 7 pm. Visitations will start again on Monday May 26 from 9 am until the funeral mass. The funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday May 26 in the Maison-mère chapel at 10 am.  The funeral mass will be streamed live and may be viewed on her obituary at www.frenettefuneralhome.com where condolences may also be sent.  Interment will be in Memramcook.  Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, Moncton (506-858-1900).
