Laurina Léger, 79, of Dieppe and formerly of
Haute-Aboujagane, passed away on Saturday May 3, 2025 at the Dr.
Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre. Born in Memramcook East,
she was the daughter of the late Roy and Joseline (LeBlanc)
Gould.
Prior to her retirement, Laurina was a laboratory cleaner at
the Université de Moncton.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years,
Gérard; three daughters: Jeannette Cormier-Saulnier of
Dieppe, Nancy Cormier of Moncton and Aline Léger-Ring of
Fredericton; five grandchildren: Parise Saulnier, Yves Saulnier, Alec
Saulnier, Ashley Ring and Taylor Ring; one sister, Lucie Bourgeois
(Raymond) of Village-du-Bois; three brothers: Clarence Gould (Simonne)
and Jude Gould (Léopold) both of Memramcook East, and
Alfred «Freddie» Gould (Marise) of
Village-du-Bois; two sisters-in-law: Irène Gould of
Memramcook-East and Jane Gould of Sackville; as well as several nieces
and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her first
husband, Jean Cormier (1968); two brothers: Edouard and Olivier; and
one sister-in-law, Bernice Gould.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and
Cremation Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac (506-532-3297) Thursday May
8 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm only. The funeral mass will be celebrated
at St-Joseph R.C. Church, 415 Main Street, Shediac, on Friday May 9 at
11 am. Laurina’s final resting place will be at Frenette
Columbarium in Shediac. In memory of Laurina, a contribution to the
