Roméo Boudreau, 82, of Shediac, passed away peacefully on Friday March 14, 2025, at Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC, Moncton. Born in Barachois, he was the son of the late Raymond and Marie (Babineau) Boudreau.

Roméo retired from Radio Canada and he was an avid golf fan.

He is survived by his wife, Marie-Jeanne Boudreau of Shediac, his children, Lise Poirier (Paul) and Michel (Sylvie) all of Shediac; his siblings, Jeanne Cormier of Shediac, Normand (Evelyn) of Riverview, Stella Boudreau-Guérin of Shediac, Louise Dupuis (Jean-Paul) of Shediac, Béatrice Bourque (Georges) of Shediac, Rose Rockwell (Jerry) of Halifax, NS and Andréa Boudreau of Shediac; his grandchildren, Danielle Poirier (Julian), Karine Boudreau (Zach) and Luc Poirier (Michelle), as well as many brothers in law, sisters in law, nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a son, Marc, siblings, Alfred, Bernice Melanson, Simone LeBlanc, Gloria Léger, Lorraine Boudreau, Ronald and Donald.

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac (506-532-3297) from where the funeral will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at 11 am. Visiting hours will be on Tuesday, March 18, 2025 from 2 to 4 pm and from 7 to 9 pm and Wednesday, March 19, 2025 from 9:45 am to 10:45 am. Interment will be held in the Columbarium at Frenette Funeral Centre in Shediac.

In memory of Roméo, a contribution to the CHU Dumont (Oncology) would be appreciated.
