David Burke, 89, formerly of Moncton and residing at Castel des Flots Bleus in Cap-Pelé, passed away on Sunday March 9, 2025 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC. Born in Amherst, NS, he was the son of the late Abbey and Emilia (Girouard) Burke.

Always smiling and optimistic, he took pleasure in helping his family, as well as the members of the community he counseled during his long career as a pharmacist.

He is survived by one daughter, Lisa of Montréal, QC; three grandchildren: Kevin, Karina and Brandon; as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his wife, Bertille LeBlanc (2007); his son, Michel (2013); one sister, Doris Allen; three brothers: William, Francis and Robert.

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (506-858-1900) on Friday March 14 from 2 to 4 pm only. There will be no funeral service. Interment will be at Saint-Thomas cemetery in Saint-Joseph, Memramcook. In memory of David, in lieu of flowers, a contribution to the CHU Dumont Foundation would be appreciated.
