Jean-Maurice Roy, 69, of Saint-Paul, passed away on Tuesday February 18, 2025 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC. Born in Saint-Paul, he was the son of the late Albert and Marguerite (Arsenault) Roy.

He is survived by his partner, Marie-Anne Arsenault; one step-son, Michel of Saint-Paul; one brother Emile and one sister Gisèle and her husband; as well his nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by one sister, Rita; and three brothers: Éric, Robert "Bobby" and Raymond; as well as one infant brother and infant sister: Lawrence and Patricia.

Prior to his retirement, Jean-Maurice was employed by Delco Forest. He was a drummer and a member of the bands Misty Fire and Cobra. A great nature lover, Jean-Maurice loved spending time in the forest at his brother Raymond's camp. He was always available and happy to help people.

The family would like to sincerely thank the staff of Unit 4C at the Dr-Georges-L.-Dumont UHC for their excellent care provided to Jean-Maurice.

The family will receive condolences at Saint-Paul church, 6476 Route 515, Saint-Paul-de-Kent from where the funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday February 24 at 11 am. Visiting hours are Sunday from 2 to 4 pm only. Interment will be in parish cemetery in the spring. In memory of Jean-Maurice, a contribution to the CHU Dumont Foundation (oncology) or to the family would be appreciated.
