It is with heavy hearts the family announces the passing of
Jacqueline LeBlanc of Moncton on February 11, 2025 at the age of 83
after a brief and courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by her
family. Born in Pré-d’en-Haut, she was the
daughter of the late Freddie and Lina (Daigle) LeBlanc.
A devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and loving
wife, she is survived by Eugene, her husband of 64 years, her son Marc
(Joanne), her daughter Chantal (Andrea), grandsons: Alexandre (Danie)
and Samuel, and great-grandson Malek. She is also survived by her
brothers and sisters: Marie-Germaine (Michel), Carmel (Ronald), Gaston
(Murielle), Michel (Marcella), Nicole (Léo), and Marina
(Paul Jr); and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by four brothers: Jean-Marie, Alyre,
Normand, and Gilles.
Jacqueline studied fine arts at Université de
Moncton, and pursued her advanced studies in Montreal, Toronto, New
England and Paris France. She was an accomplished artist who enjoyed
working in a variety of media and techniques. Creating felt was an art
that she mastered. Moreover she shared her artistic vision by teaching
numerous felting workshops. In particular she was pleased that one of
her felt scarves was chosen for presentation to former Governor
General of Canada the Honourable Michaëlle
Jean.
Special thanks to the many doctors and nurses for their
compassionate and professional care during her illness as well as the
Angels at Hospice Albert House.
According to her wishes, there will be no visitation or
funeral service. A private family reunion will be held at a future
date. If desired a donation in memory of Jacqueline can be made to
Hospice SENB (Albert House).
