Gérard Després, 94, formerly of Moncton, passed away on Tuesday January 25, 2025 at the Villa Providence in Shediac. Born in Grande-Digue, he was the son of the late Patrick and Régina (Cormier) Després.

He is survived by one daughter, Gisèle Després of Moncton; four grandchildren: Patrick, Michel, Thomas and Danielle; one great-granddaughter, Amara-Grace; one brother, Ronald of Ottawa, ON; as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his wife, Germaine (Allain); one daughter, Gloria; five sisters: Rita, Viola, Florida, Germaine and Eva; and two brothers: Edgar and Father Emile.

By request, there will be no visitation and no funeral service. Interment will be at Our Lady of Calvary cemetery in Dieppe. In memory of Gérard, a contribution to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
