Anita Brun, 78, of Lakeville, passed away on Friday January 31, 2025 at The Moncton Hospital, surrounded by loved ones. Born in Shediac, she was the daughter of the late George and Anita (Gallant) Fougère.

Anita was a very loving person who took great care of everyone in need as if they were her own children.

She is survived by her common-law husband of 54 years, Raymond LeBlanc ; her daughters: Jacqueline Fougère, Pauline MacDonald (Brad) both of Riverview, Marie-Thérèse Brun of Steeves Mountain, Gisèle Nagle (Normand) of Shediac and Paulette Brun of Lakeville; siblings: Lilliane Arsenault (Late Guy) of Moncton, Ronald (Thérèse) , Léo (Late Simone) both of Lakeville, Jean-Paul (Diane) of Shediac, Yvon (Emma) of Grand-Barachois  and Michel "Mike" of Lakeville; eight grand-children: Daisy, Jessy, Matthew, Tyler, Joeline, Branden, Zachary and Dustin as well as many great grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by one son Peter at a young age, a sister Patricia "Patsy" and a grandson Malcolm.

The family will be holding a funeral service at Frenette Funeral Home, 88 Church Street, Moncton (506-858-1900) on Wednesday, February 5th at 11am. Visiting hours are from 9:30am until time of funeral. In memory of Anita, a contribution to the Friends of The Moncton Hospital Foundation (palliative) would be appreciated.
