Pearl Louise Petitpas-Mitton, 98, of McNair Manor,
Moncton and formerly of Shediac, passed away on Friday January 24,
2025 at the her residence. Born in Pointe-du-Chêne, she was
the daughter of the late Roland and Louise (Petitpas)
McFadden.
Prior to her retirement, Pearl worked at Zellers as a
supervisor. She was also a member of the UCW for Trinity United
Church, Shediac, Ladies Auxillary Branch #6 in Moncton for over 60
years, and the Shediac Cape Silver Sands
Club.
She is survived by her four children: Sharon Petitpas
of Queen Charlotte Island, BC, Gary (late Suzanne) of Charlottetown,
PEI, and Stephen (Sheila) of Kamloops, and Tim of Shediac Bridge; one
sister, Joy Belliveau (Paul) of Shediac; two sister in-laws; 9
grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren, as well as her nieces and
nephews.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Henry
Petitpas; second husband, Basil Mitton; a sister, June Poirier; four
brothers: David, Clifford, Garrett, and Johnny; one grandson,
Alex.
A special thank you to the staff of McNair Manor for
the excellent care given during our mother's stay and also a very
special thank you to Dr. Mirelle Charest-LeBlanc for the medical care
she provided to our mother.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral
and Cremation Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac (506-532-3297) from
where the funeral service will be celebrated on Wednesday February 5
at 11 am. Visiting hours are Wednesday from 10:00 am and 10:50 am
only. Interment will be at Greenwood cemetery in Shediac. In memory of
Pearl, a contribution to the Diabetes Canada would be
appreciated.
