Géraldine McGraw, 89, of St-Antoine and formerly
of Moncton, passed away on Sunday January 26, 2025 at the UHC Dr.
Georges-L.-Dumont. Born in St-Antoine, she was the daughter of the
late Gérard and Hélène (Arsenault)
Richard.
Prior to her retirement, Géraldine worked as an
accountant at Assumption Life, Évangeline newspaper, and in
her later years she was the owner and operator of G.M. Antiques in
Moncton.
She is survived by her five children: Lisette Belmont (Jean)
of Moncton, Fernand of Dieppe, Monique Hutchison of Moncton, Richard
(Angela) of Dieppe, and Luc (Cécile) of Cocagne; 13
siblings: Sr. Héléna Richard NDSC, Jeanne
Bourgeois (late Paul) of Grande-Digue, May Castonguay (late Ronald) of
Moncton, Louis Richard (Rita) of St-Antoine,
Thérèse Cellard (Julien) of
Trois-Rivières, QC, Yvette Richard (Jean-Paul) of Shediac,
Léandre Richard (late Linda) of St-Antoine, Raymonde
Léger (Doone) of Moncton, Roger Richard (Dorilla) of
St-Antoine, Maurice Richard (Norma) of St-Antoine, Paul Richard
(Ginette) of St-Antoine, Marc Richard (Diane) of St-Antoine, and Diane
Richard (Rhéal Maillet) of St-Antoine; one sister in-law,
Anise Richard of St-Antoine; two grandchildren: Robin and Jason; one
great-grandson, Zachary; as well as many nieces and
nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband,
Henry McGraw (2024); a brother, Raymond; two brother in-law:
Paul and Jean-Marie.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and
Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (506-858-1900) from where
the funeral service will be celebrated on Thursday January 30 at 4 pm.
Visiting hours are Thursday from 2 pm to 4 pm only. Interment will be
in St-Antoine-L’Ermite cemetery in St-Antoine. In memory of
Géraldine, a contribution to the Alzheimer Society would be
appreciated.
