Claudette Cormier, 79, passed away peacefully on January 25, 2025, at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital in Moncton, New Brunswick, surrounded by family.

Born and raised in Grande-Digue, Claudette later resided in Lakeside where she raised her children before settling in Moncton close to family and friends. She was the daughter of the late Raymond and Exelia (Poirier) Cormier.

Claudette leaves behind her loving children: Charlene (Ron) Mazerolle, Tammy Cormier, and Fred (Julie) Cormier all of Moncton; her sister, Roberta (late Mike Nasswetter) Cormier of Montreal QC, and brother, Bertin (Gloria) Cormier of Grande-Digue. She was a cherished grandmother to grandsons Sean Saulnier of Lunenburg, NS, and Matthew Saulnier of Moncton, granddaughters Logan Cormier and Maddie Cormier of Moncton, and by several nieces and nephews

Besides her parents, Claudette was predeceased by her twin brother, Claude Cormier, and her eldest son, Denis Saulnier.

Claudette was a woman of many talents and passions. She began her career as a teacher, a hairdresser, where she brought beauty and joy to others. She later transitioned into a successful sales career with Electrolux, and eventually found her calling as a caregiver, working as a Continuing Care Assistant.

Known for her vibrant and outgoing personality, Claudette was a social butterfly who could strike up a conversation with anyone she met. She found joy in simple pleasures, like playing bingo, card games, and watching her favorite game shows.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Lise Richard and the nursing staff at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital UHC. Their compassionate care and kindness provided immense comfort to Claudette and her loved ones during her time there.

Claudette will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all those who were fortunate enough to know her.

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (506-858-1900) on Saturday, February 1, 2025 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm only. Interment will be at Our Lady of Calvary cemetery in Dieppe.
