Sister Doris Elmire LeBlanc (Sr Anne-Marie), ndsc, passed away following a short illness on Sunday January 19, 2025 at the Motherhouse of the Religieuses de Notre-Dame-du-Sacré-Coeur in Moncton. She was 94 years and in the 75th year of her religious life. Born in Shediac, she was the daughter of the late Napoléon and Aurore (Léger) LeBlanc.
Besides her religious family, she is survived by four sisters: Viola Belliveau (late Albert) of Leominster, Mass., Annette LeBlanc (Louis) of Fitchburg, Mass., Anne-Marie Savoie (Georges) of Atholville and Jacqueline LeBlanc (Raoul) of Haute-Aboujagane; three brothers: Raymond (Marielle) of Dieppe, Armand (Jacqueline) of Gardner, Mass., and Léonard (Nicole) of Shediac; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by two sisters: Jeannine LeBlanc and Simone Fluet.
Sister Doris will be resting at the Notre-Dame-d’Acadie Pavilion of the Maison-mère des Religieuses Notre-Dame-du-Sacré-Coeur, 125 King Street, Moncton (Godfrey Lane entrance) on Thursday January 23 from 2 pm to 8:30 pm, with Solemn Vespers at 7 pm. Visitations will start again on Friday January 24 from 9 am until the funeral mass. The funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday January 24 in the Maison-mère chapel at 10 am. The funeral mass will be streamed live and may be viewed on her obituary at www.frenettefuneralhome.com where condolences may also be sent. Interment will be in Memramcook.
