It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Rundle Hutchison, a cherished father, grandfather, brother, and friend, who left us peacefully at home on January 14, 2025. Rundle was born in Miramichi, N.B., and spent his life in the loving embrace of family, friends, and the community he so deeply cherished.

Rundle was the son of Rita Hutchison and Willis Hutchison, and he was preceded in death by his beloved mother, father, brother, sister, and his devoted wife, Debbie (Arsenault) Hutchison. Rundle and Debbie were married at the tender age of 18 and celebrated nearly 50 wonderful years together, a testament to their unwavering love and commitment to one another.

Throughout his life, Rundle found joy in the simple things. Outside of work, Rundle was a man of many interests. He had a deep love for hunting, and he had a particular fondness for watching stock car races. However, his greatest joy came from spending time with his family.

He relished every moment spent with his three children, Henry (Maira), Stacy (Mark), and Billy, instilling in them the values of hard work, integrity, and love.

Rundle's legacy lives on in the laughter and love of his brother-in-law Henry (Sherri), sister-in-law Juanita (Morris), his four grandchildren: Jessica (Jordan), Brandon (Chrissy), Devon (Savannah), and Vanessa (Dustyn), as well as his many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who were fortunate to know him. He had an extraordinary ability to connect with others, and his warmth and humor will be missed by all who had the privilege of sharing in his life.

As we remember Rundle, let us celebrate a life well-lived — a life filled with love for his family, dedication to his work, and a passion for the things he enjoyed. His spirit will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those he touched.

Rest in peace, dear Rundle. You will be deeply missed but forever remembered. As per Rundle’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service held. In memory of Rundle, a contribution to the N.B. Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated. Funeral arrangements are in the professional care of Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, Moncton (506-858-1900).
