It is with great sadness that we announce the passing
of Rita Bourgeois on Tuesday January 14, 2025 at the age of 101 at
Maison Albert Hospice SENB. Born in Shediac, Rita lived through a
century of changes and events, always with an exceptional memory and a
keen mind. Her life was marked by her love for her family, her joie de
vivre and her ability to brighten every moment with her
presence.
An avid gamer, she was particularly fond of cards,
darts, horseshoes and bowling. For her, these activities were much
more than just games; they were an opportunity to bring her loved ones
together and share moments of happiness. Her optimism and positive
energy were contagious and enriched the lives of all those around
her.
Her generosity, humor and unconditional love will
remain forever etched in our hearts. Even at 101, she showed us the
importance of living each day to the full, with an open heart and
smile.
She is survived by four sons: Jean-Paul (Martial),
Roger (Carmella), Guy (the late Gertrude), and Maurice (Louise); a
sister, Laura Vautour; a brother, Pat (Jeanette); two
daughters-in-law: Francine Bourgeois and Irma Bourgeois; seven
grandchildren: Mario, Martin, Mathieu, André, Daniel and
Mélanie; 9 great-grandchildren: Maryse, Emily,
Maélie, Ally, Maïka, Charlie, Mila, Lukas and
Jakob, as well as numerous nieces and
nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Siméon
Bourgeois (2003); two sons: Léo-Paul (2021) and Donald
(2023); a grandson, Marc (2021); four sisters: Alma Vautour, Lina
Boudreau, Elizabeth Richard, and Évangéline
Richard; four brothers: Alphonse, Edgar, Euclide, and
Émile.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral

St. Joseph R.C. Church, 415 Main Street, Shediac on

am. Interment will be at St-
Jacques-Le-Majeur Cemetery in Scoudouc.
In memory of Rita, a

We pay tribute to you and thank you for the love and
memories you leave us. May you rest in peace, surrounded by all the
