It is with great sadness that the family of Julie Auffrey, of Boudreau-Ouest, announces her passing at the age of 66, Tuesday, January 14, 2025. After a brief but courageous battle with cancer, she passed away at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC. Born in Pointe-du-Chene, she was the daughter of the late James and Stella (Fougère) Petitpas.

Julie worked for the DSS in Shediac. She was a member of the Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliary and enjoyed boating with her family and friends. A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, her love of her family shone through in everything she did. She enjoyed photography, flower gardens, and cross stitching.

She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Bernard "Bernie"; a daughter, Amanda (Earle) of Shediac; a son, Dominic (Luc) of Montreal; a sister, Diane Arsenault (Donnie) of Shediac; a brother, Michael Petitpas (Cathy) of Moncton; two grandchildren: Jaden Ali and Cody Ali; a brother in-law, Donald Clements of Pointe-du-Chene, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by two brothers: Maurice and Jackie Petitpas, and a sister, Norma Clements.

The family will receive condolences Friday, January 17 from 7 pm to 9 pm and Saturday, January 18 from 9 am to 10:15 am at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac (506-532-3297). The funeral service will be celebrated at Frenette Funeral Centre, Shediac on Saturday,  January 18 at 10:30 am. In memory of Julie, a contribution to either the CHU Dumont Foundation (oncology) or the Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliary would be appreciated.
