Séraphine
LeBlanc, 97, of Shediac passed away peacefully on Friday, January 3,
2025 at the Dr. Georges-L-Dumont UHC. Formerly of Boudreau Office, she
was the daughter of the late Adolphe and Lydia (Hébert)
Gaudet.
Séraphine was
a woman of great faith, who loved a good card game and spending time
with her family.
She is survived by her
six children: Ronald (Doris), Rachel Lavigne (Guy), Ginette Comeau
(Jean-Paul), Suzanne Bourgeois (Maurice), Odette LeBlanc (Perry), and
Martin; one sister, Léa Brown (late Léo); 13
grandchildren: Kim, Steven, Colette, Sylvie, Brigitte, Lyne, Anne,
Lise, Paul, Luc, Josée, Christian, and Izabel; 10 great
grandchildren: Kyle, Jérémy, Mylène,
Adam, Victoria, Rémi, Mia, Samuel, Camélie, and
Rafaël; one great-great grandchild, Hayden, as well as
several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by
her husband, Émile; one daughter, Émilie; one
son, Jean-Louis; four infant children: Martin, Edgar, Joseph, and
Marie; one sister, Andréa Arsenault; and four brothers:
Aristide, Émile, Edgar, and
Ulric.
The family will receive
condolences at the Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 396 Main
Street, Shediac on Wednesday, January 8 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to
9:00 p.m. only. The funeral will be celebrated at St. Joseph R.C.
Church, 415 Main Street, Shediac on Thursday, January 9 at 2:00 p.m.
The funeral will be recorded, and the video will be available on
Séraphine's obituary on our website at the end of
the day. Interment will be in the parish
cemetery.
In memory of Séraphine, a
donation to the Beausejour Family Crisis Resource Centre would be
appreciated.
