It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Normand LeBlanc, 75, of Riverview, on Monday December 30, 2024 at The Moncton Hospital, surrounded by loved ones. Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late Irois "Roy" and Alfreda "Freda" (Paulin) LeBlanc.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Cowling; his daughter, Angela Stoddart of Halifax, NS; his brother, Bernard "Ben" (Sandra) of Moncton and their son Karl; one grandchild, Laylen Stoddart of Halifax; as well as many cousins and friends. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by one brother, Roland, and a beloved niece, Tina.

Norm’s career in the food and hospitality industry spanned over 50 years, with his professional career peaking as the chef at the Memramcook Institute. Known for his outgoing and sociable nature, he participated in many activities - ball teams, bowling, and cards clubs.  In his later years he enjoyed travel with his wife Barb and family members.  He also enjoyed trips with friends to Montreal to see the Canadiens play and Toronto for the NY Yankees. He easily formed friendships and cherished them, thanks to his kind heart and remarkable generosity in helping those in need.  While he took pride in cooking for his loved ones, it’s his company and laughter that we will miss the most.

The family will be holding a celebration of life event for Norm at Frenette Funeral Home, 88 Church Street, Moncton (506-858-1900) on Friday January 10th from 6 to 8 pm only. In memory of Norm, a contribution to the Friends of The Moncton Hospital Foundation (oncology) would be appreciated.
