René
Cormier, 78, of Cap-Pelé, passed away at the Villa
Providence Shediac on Friday, December 27, 2024. Born in
Cap-Pelé, he was the son of the late Alphonse and Bertha
(Gallant) Cormier.
Rene was employed at
Amco Fisheries for several years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and
working in his flower garden.
He is survived by his
wife Lynda, his daughter Natasha Cormier (Michel Bourque) of
Cap-Pelé, his brothers and sisters: Donalda Doiron
(Jean-Louis), Fernande Comeau (late Peter) all of Cap-Pelé,
Rose Cormier (Ulysse) of Cocagne, Valerie (Rosella) of
Cap-Pelé, Arcade of Moncton and his two big dogs: Rex and
Max, whom he loved very much.
Besides his parents,
he was predeceased by a sister Délia Pellerin, an infant
brother Arthur, a half-brother Sifroid Cormier and four half-sisters:
Norma Bourque, Marguerite Gallant, Lorraine Moffat and Olivine
Bourque.
The family will
receive condolences at the Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 2642
Acadie Road, Cap-Pelé where a funeral service will be held
on Saturday, January 4 at 11 a.m. Visitation will be held on Friday,
January 3 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
only.
The family wishes to
express their sincere gratitude to the staff of the Grand
Cœur section of the Villa Providence Shediac for the
excellent care provided to our father.
