Yves Durette, devoted lover of his wife Marie Chamberland and
beloved father of Félix and Rose, passed peacefully from
this life, surrounded by those he loved dearly. Son of
Cécile (Michaud) Durette and the late Roland Durette, he
was the youngest brother of Rino (Mona), André (Luc
Morency), Joanne (Jean-Claude Latour) and Maryse (David Turrif), as
well as the brother-in-law of Alexis Chamberland. Yves also had many
nephews and nieces whom he loved dearly.
Since being diagnosed with brain tumours in October 2021,
Yves has shown exemplary resilience, guided by his infinite love for
his family. He savored every precious moment with Marie and their two
children, with whom he formed a close-knit team. For over 27 years,
they built a life together full of happiness, complicity and memorable
moments.
For Félix and Rose, who are continuing their
journey into adulthood without the physical presence of their father,
Yves leaves an indelible memory of a hard-working, loving and devoted
father, who always put his family first and lived his role as a father
with pride.
Driven by a desire to make a difference, Yves, with Marie's
support, set up a project to support brain tumour research. Together,
they mobilized leading experts to contribute to scientific progress
and offer hope to future patients facing this disease. In his memory,
donations can be made to the Yves-Durette Brain Tumour Research Fund
