It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our
beloved Gilles Landry, 60, of Dieppe, on Friday, November 29,
2024.
Gilles is survived by his loving wife and best friend,
Nathalie (Lemay); his parents: Geraldine and Antoine of Shediac; his
brothers: Marc (Jeannette) of Dieppe and Gaston (Patricia) of Moncton.
Gilles holds a special place in his heart for his nieces and nephews:
Evan, Brenna, Monica, Alyssa, Aiden, and Liam. He was also blessed
with several uncles, aunts, cousins and a large extended family. He
was a very proud parent of two very special fur babies: Bear and
Blue.
Gilles started his career off as a photographer at L'Acadie
Nouvelle and eventually found his dream job as a cameraman with Radio
Canada/CBC. He loved his job with a passion. He will be sadly missed
by everyone who he had met and touched with his infectious smile and
his silly personality and humor. He had a very calming and supporting
presence. "He was one of a kind and one of the good ones."
He will be forever missed and never forgotten by many.
Gilles loved to spend time in the woodshop making his very
first guitar. He was proud of himself and what he had accomplished. He
was a foodie and loved to revisit special places he shared with wife,
Nathalie. Always looked forward to family time far and near, and some
much-needed downtime.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and
Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (506-858-1900) on Thursday
from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm only. The funeral mass will be celebrated at
Saint-Anselme church, 1014 Amirault Street, Dieppe on Friday December
6 at 11 am. In memory of Gilles, a donation to Diabetes Canada would
be appreciated.
