Clarence Surette, 88, of Moncton, passed away on Monday November 25, 2024 at The Moncton Hospital. Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late Jean-Baptiste and Geneviève (Bastarache) Surette.

Prior to his retirement, Clarence was a shipper/receiver at Co-op Dairy.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Ethel née Landry; three step-children: John Daigle (Linda) of Irishtown, Claudette Richard (Charles) of Saint-Paul, and Robert Daigle (Janice) of Indian Mountain; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; one sister, Simone Léger (Ronald) of Moncton; two sisters-in-law: Frances Surette and Stella Surette; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by one sister, Alfreda; three brothers: Valmond, Odule "Jack", and Roger.

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (506-858-1900) from where the funeral service will be celebrated on Thursday November 28 at 3 pm. Visiting hours are Thursday from 1:30 pm until time of funeral. Interment will be at Our Lady of Calvary cemetery in Dieppe. In memory of Clarence, a contribution to the Alzheimer Society or a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
