Donald Cormier, 79, of Moncton, passed away on Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at the Villa du Repos. Born in Minto, he was the son of the late André and Marie (LeBlanc) Cormier.

Prior to his retirement, Donald worked at NB Housing and previously was self-employed as an electrical contractor. Donald was a kind and loving man. He was an attentive husband and wonderful father and grandfather. He was always willing to help others, accepting of everyone who came his way and had a great sense of humour. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He will be sadly missed by his daughter, Charline Cormier Walcott (Richard) of Moncton; his son, Raymond (Melissa) of Fredericton; three grandchildren: Edie Cummings, Frederick "Gabriel" Belliveau, and Tristan Belliveau; one sister, Geraldine Jaillet (Karl); two brothers: Normand Cormier (Violet) and Gérald Cormier (Kathy); his several sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his wife, Yvette born Doucette (2018).

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (506-858-1900) on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm only. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Notre-Dame-de-la-Paix R.C. Church, 87 Murphy Avenue, Moncton on Friday November 22 at 11 am. Interment will be in Frenette Columbarium, Moncton. In memory of Donald, a contribution to the Villa du Repos or Parkinson Canada would be appreciated.
