Laurie J. Gautreau, 78, of Moncton, passed away on Saturday
November 16, 2024 at The Moncton Hospital. Born in Shediac, he was the son of the late Edouard and Marie (Gallant) Gautreau.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Anna (Gallant) Gautreau; a daughter, Joanne Gautreau (Don LeBlanc) of Moncton; two sisters: Edmée Gautreau of Moncton and Claudette Martin of Shediac; five brothers: Norbert Martin (Diane Fougère), Normand (Gisèle), Yvon, and Ronald all of Shediac, and Bernard (Phyllis) of Moncton; five sisters in-law: Émilie Martin and Lucille Martin both of Shediac and Velma Strachan (Brian), Marg Manning (Bruce), and Léona Boucher (Roger) all of Moncton; two brothers in-law: Hervé Cormier of Shediac and André Gallant (Theresa) of Moncton; one grandson, Brandon Gautreau of Moncton, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by four brothers: Paul, Gerald, Pat, and Jackie Martin; a sister, Yvette.

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (506-858-1900) from where the funeral service will be celebrated on Wednesday November 20 at 3 pm. Visiting hours are Wednesday from 2 pm until time of funeral. Interment will be at Our Lady of Calvary cemetery in Dieppe. In memory of Laurie, a contribution to the Friends of The Moncton Hospital (oncology) of to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
