Irénée Bourgeois, 73, of Boudreau-Ouest, passed away on Tuesday November 5, 2024, at his residence. Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late Joseph and Dorothée (Léger) Bourgeois.
Prior to his retirement, Irénée worked as a parts clerk for Universal Truck & Trailer. He was an avid Montreal Canadiens Fan. He was 3rd Degree, Conseil 7334, and 4th Degree, Assembly 2793 Chevaliers de Colomb.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Jacqueline Bourgeois; a daughter, Pierrette LeBlanc (Gerald) of Boudreau-Ouest; a brother, Claudius of Boudreau-Ouest; a sister, Marguerite Bourgeois of Cap-Pelé; a sister in-law, Marie Bourgeois; two grandchildren: Pierre and Renelle, as well as his nieces and nephews.
As per his wishes, there will be no visitation. The funeral mass will be celebrated at St-Joseph R.C. Church, 415 Main Street, Shediac on Tuesday November 12 at 4 p.m. Interment will be at Frenette Columbarium in Shediac. In memory of Irénée, a contribution to the Canadian Lung Association would be appreciated.
