It is with extreme sadness that we announce the
passing of Arthur Bourque, 91, of Shediac on Tuesday, November 5,
2024, at the Residence "O" Bons Soins. Born in Painsec
Settlement, he was the son of the late Eugène and
Arthémise (Dupuis) Bourque.
Having worked as a bodyman his whole life, Arthur had
a passion for cars and never missed a car show. He was known to be
able to fix anything.
He is survived by his four daughters: Pierrette
Savoie (Louis Babineau) of Grande-Digue, Norma Downing (Dan) of
Fredericton, Charlotte Bourque (Léophane LeBlanc) of
St-Louis, and Marcia Bourque (Luc LeBlanc) of Dieppe; one son, Frank
(Sheri Dryden) of Fredericton; one sister, Betty Levesque of Moncton;
one brother, Valerie (Rita) of Dieppe; 10 grandchildren: Denis
(Noémi), Marlon, Robyn, Sara (Kyle), Véronique
(Alex), Janique (Frank), Luc (Chloé), Françoise,
Guillaume (Isabela), and Christian; one great-grandson, Noah, as well
as many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Bernadette
Bourque (1996); three sisters: Jeanne LeBlanc, Rita Cormier, and Sarah
Peters; one brother, Lawrence.
The family would like to thank the employees of
Residence "O" Bons Soins for their care and attention to his
needs while residing under their care.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette
Funeral and Cremation Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac on Monday,
November 11 from 6 to 8 p.m. only. The
funeral mass will be celebrated at St-Joseph R.C. Church, 415 Main
Street, Shediac on Tuesday, November 12 at 11 a.m. Interment will be
in St-Joseph Cemetery, Shediac.

Arthur, a contribution to the Vestiaire St-Joseph Food Bank or
Beausejour Family Crisis Resource Centre Inc. would be
appreciated.
