Pauline Gallant, 75, of Scoudouc passed away surrounded
by her loving family on Thursday October 31 at the Hospice Albert
House (SENB), Moncton. Born in Barnsley South Yorkshire, England, she
was the daughter of Bill and Edith (Outwin)
Lyman.
At the age of 20, she was
invited by family relatives to come to Canada and help out
at their convenience store (Jones’) in Pointe du Chene.
Shortly after arriving, she met Russell at the local rink, where he
helped her converse with the locals, as her accent was quite thick,
and she was easy on the eyes:)
Pauline loved crafts. She was always
quilting, knitting, cross-stitching, diamond paintings. You name it,
she could do it.
She was a strong, loving woman who cherished her
grandkids and helped raise them throughout their younger years. If you
needed her, she was there. She will be forever loved and
missed by her family and friends here and in the
UK.
She is survived by her
loving husband of 56 years, Russell; her children: Scott (Carole),
Michael (Betty Ann), and Angela Young (Jeff) all of Scoudouc, five
grandchildren: Sébastien, Patrick, Declyn, Darcy, and
Allison, as well as two great-grandsons: Caleb and
Lennox.
She was predeceased by her
parents and two brother: Philippe and
Keith.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral
and Cremation Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac, on Thursday November 7
from 2 pm to 4 pm only. There will be no
service. In lieu of
flowers, a donation to Hospice Albert House (SENB) would be
appreciated by the family. Home - Hospice
