John Sherwood, 80, of Moncton, passed away on Friday September 25, 2024 at The Moncton Hospital. Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late Walter A. and Gladys M. (Killam) Sherwood.

John was an avid outdoorsman who loved spending time camping, fishing and hunting.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Elizabeth (Hiscox); his children: Cheryl Larsen (Roddy), John (Krista) and Tammy (Anthony); seven grandchildren: Kristen, Ryan, Michael, Brandon, Rebecca, Ethan and Bryanna; seven great-grandchildren: Ava, Jackson, Ohlin, Aria, Eli, Damien and Isaac; his siblings: Harriette Herrington (late Don), Patricia Herrington (late James), Allison Sherwood (Gloria), Gladys Critchley (Randy), Crystal Rogers (late Dana), Richard Sherwood (Judith) and Wayne Sherwood (Karen);as well as his nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by three sisters: Betty Hughes, Cheryl Wadman and Jean Morrissey; and one brother, Lee Sherwood.

As per John’s wishes, there will be no visitation and no funeral service. Interment will be at Elmwood Cemetery, Moncton. In memory of John, a contribution to Diabetes Canada or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
