It’s with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of our Mom, Viola "Lola" Irene Gallant, on September 18, 2024 at the age of 77.

Loved and adored by her husband, Raphael; her three daughters: Angela (late Rick), Sheila (late Dave), and Pamela; grandmother (Grammy/Grams) of Amanda, Jason, Ryan, Megan, Raymond, Dylan, Melissa, Shawna, and Tristan; great-grandmother of 12. She will also be missed by her sister, Florine "Flo" (Donald), and brothers: Maurice "Moe" (Angela), and Bobby; as well as her nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her mom, Alfreda Boucher; her grandson, Dylan; her sisters: Nancy, Murielle, and Gloria; and her brother, Aurele.

Mom had a love for good ol’ country music, listening to karaoke and line dancing, and she enjoyed her soap opera shows. We can clearly say our Mom was a woman with so much compassion for others in need, and helped when she could and DID! Some say the best way that describes Lola is "She was a warrior for her friends and would go to battle for them. A True Friend". She will be loved and missed by many, including her fur puppies.

"I hope you're dancing in the sky

And I hope you're singing in the angel's choir

And I hope the angels know what they have.

I'll bet it's so nice up in Heaven since you arrived."

We would like to extend our appreciation to the medical staff and Hospice for their compassion and care for our Mom in her final days and moments. We Thank You!

There will be no visiting hours. The funeral service will be celebrated at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (506-858-1900) on Thursday September 26 at 3 pm. In memory of Viola, a contribution to the House of Nazareth or a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
