Yvon Comeau, 74, of Shediac, passed away on Saturday August 10, 2024 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC. Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late Théophile and Béatrice (Boudreau) Comeau.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Gisèle; one son, Christien (Rachelle) of Moncton; four sisters: Exelda Surette (Jean-Louis), Vitaline Boudreau (Jean-Guy), Sarah Gallant (Armand), and Émerise LeBlanc (Clovis) all of Shediac; a father and mother in-law, Harvey and Louise (LeBlanc) Vautour of Pointe-du-Chêne; one sister in-law, Catherine Vautour-Léger of Ste-Marie-de-Kent; two grandchildren: Dannielle Comeau and Justin (Julie Cormier); two great-grandchildren: Olivia and Connor, as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
He was predeceased by a brother, Alphée (2022) and an infant brother, Alphée.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac (506-532-3297) from where the funeral service will be celebrated on Wednesday August 14 at 4 pm. Visiting hours are Wednesday from 2 pm to 3:45 pm only.
In memory of Yvon, donations may be made to the CHU Dumont Foundation would be appreciated.
