Valmont Melanson, 63, of Haute-Aboujagane, passed away on Friday, July 26, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Moncton, he was the son of Jeannine (LeBlanc) and the late Arthur Melanson.

A hard working man, Valmont was a very loving and devoted husband and father who enjoyed fishing and taking long walks in the woods.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Ginette (LeBlanc); his daughter Fanny Melanson and son Danny (Céline Melanson); his five grandchildren: Abigail, Audrey, Tony, Conor and Cianna; his five siblings: Louise LeBlanc (Marcel) of Dieppe, Aline Arsenault (Clay), Della LeBlanc (late Bobby) all of Haute-Aboujagane, Daniel (France) of Shediac and Lucie Richard (Waylon) of Rexton as well as many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive condolences at the Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac on Wednesday, July 31 from 6 to 9 p.m. only. The funeral will be celebrated at the Sacré-Cœur-de-Jésus R. C. Church, 944 Route 933, Haute-Aboujagane on Thursday, August 1 at 10:30 a.m.

In memory of Valmont, a contribution to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
