Colette Bernier, 74, of Pavillon Gallant at Faubourg du Mascaret in Moncton and formerly of Grande-Digue, passed away on Tuesday July 9, 2024 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC. Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of the late Livio and Corinne (Fournier) Roy.

She was a former employee at the Caisse populaire and at the Red Cross. Endowed with immense generosity and kindness of heart, Colette enjoyed helping others without asking for anything in return.

She is survived by two children: Julie Bernier (Guy Savoie) and Mathieu Bernier (Jennifer); four grandchildren: Xavier, Pierre, Kloé, and Melodie; one sister, Suzanne Roy; one brother, Pierre Losier (Gilberte); one sister-in-law, Jeannita Belliveau; one nephew, Donald; as well as several cousins and friends.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Daniel (2022); three brothers: Maurice, Daniel, and infant Donald; as well as one sister, Renée.

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (506-858-1900) on Friday July 19 2from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm only. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Sainte-Thérèse-de-l’Enfant-Jésus church, 457 Acadie Avenue, Dieppe, on Saturday July 20 at 10:30 am. In memory of Colette, a contribution to the House of Nazareth would be appreciated.
