Edmond "T-Mine" Cormier, 93, formerly of Irishtown,
passed away peacefully on Thursday July 4, 2024 at Pavillon Richard of
Faubourg du Mascaret in Moncton with his loving family by his side.
Born in Notre-Dame, he was the son of the late Placide and Annie
(Meunier) Cormier.
Edmond had a career as a sheet metal worker and furnace
installer. He was a very hard worker. T-Mine was an avid hunter and
fisherman who enjoyed fly fishing. He had a passion for music, loved
playing guitar and mandolin, which he passed on to his
children.
He is survived by his six children: John (Kathy), Henri
(Yvonne), Bob, Doris Melanson (Charles), Dorine Belliveau (Bob), and
Thérèse Cormier (Donald Taylor); 12
grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and
nephews. He was the last surviving member of his immediate
family.
He was predeceased by his loving wife, Rita Cormier (2017);
one granddaughter, Claire Belliveau; nine sisters and brothers: Eva,
Marie, Rita, Irene, Mêlendée, Hervé,
Alfred, Ulysse, and Arthur.

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and
Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (506-858-1900) on Monday
from 2 pm until time of departure (3:30). The funeral mass will be
celebrated at St. Lawrence O’Toole R.C. Church, 2340 Route
115, Irishtown on Monday July 8 at 4 pm. Interment will be in
Irishtown. The funeral mass will be videotaped, and the video will be
available on his obituary on the Frenette Website at the end of the
day. In memory of Edmond, a contribution to a charity of the
donor’s choice would be appreciated.
